Georgeina Eiklor

If tears could build a stairway, and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to Heaven and bring you home again….Our loving mother and grandmother Georgeina E. Eiklor, 81, of Middle Road, Barton, NY passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2007 following a period of declining health. Jean as she was affectionately known by her family and friends was born on January 12, 1926 a daughter of Ernest and Sarah G. Rogers. Jean was a member of the Waverly VFW Ladies Auxiliary, the Oak Leaf and Goodrich Settlement Grange; and Order of Eastern Stars. She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Luther E. Eiklor, Sr. on January 1, 2007 and her daughter Lois I. Dehner. Jean is survived by her son and caregiver Luther "Luke" Eiklor, Jr. of Barton; son Jackie Eiklor of Canandaigua, NY; sister Frieda Champagne of Canada; five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services and time of remembering the special gift Jean was to all of us will be held on Monday, November 5, 2007 at 11 am at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 South Main Street, Nichols with Rev. George Ayers, officiating. Interment and prayers of committal will follow at the Bradford County Memorial Park. A period of visitation and time of sharing memories will be held on Sunday, November 4th from 2 to 5 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel and on Monday, from 10 am until the time of the service.
