Gloria J. Bellis

Gloria J. Bellis, 80, of Barton, NY passed away Tuesday morning, March 4, 2014 at the Elderwood Health Care Facility in Waverly. Gloria was born on May 23, 1933 in Towanda, Pa a daughter of Grace (Johnston) Hemmingway. On October 29, 1954 she married Wayne E. Bellis and together they owned and operated the family farm on Ross Hill. She enjoy dancing, crocheting, completing crossword puzzles and going to BINGO. Gloria will be missed by her son, David Bellis; son-in-law Richard Coyle; daughter-in-law Sharyl Bellis all of Barton; her grandchildren: Miranda (Brian) Szymanski, Joshua (Wendy) Bellis; Jennifer (Paul) Goodwin, Michael Bellis, Michelle Bellis, David Bellis, Elizabeth Bellis and Stephanie Bellis; seven great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and their families also survive. Gloria was predeceased by her husband Wayne E. Bellis, Sr. on July 23, 2012; daughter Shari Ann Coyle on January 11, 2008; son Robert LeRoy "Rubin" Bellis on December 31, 2012. A graveside service will be held in the spring in the Tioga Point Cemetery in Athens.
