Gordon "Jim" W. Johnson, Jr.

Goodbyes are not forever. Goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean we'll miss you, until we meet again…. Our hearts were broken with the sudden passing on Friday, July 2, 2010 of our loving husband, dad and pop Gordon W. Johnson,Jr. 78, of Warren Center, Pa. He was affectionately known and remembered as "Jim" by his family and friends. Jim was born on June 8, 1932 in Philadelphia, Pa a son of the late Caroline (Owens) and Gordon W. Johnson, Sr. and step son of Marie E. (Wetzel) Johnson. Jim was a veteran of the US Navy and proudly served his country during the Korean War. For many years, he owned and operated Johnson's Pools in Ambler, Pa. Following retirement, Jim found great comfort in the hills of Warren Center where he was able to operate his farm. He enjoyed woodworking, handcrafting stain glass and "tinkering" He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Margaret, his children: Christian (Gaylnn) Johnson; Kim ( Marie ) Johnson; Kelly (Paul) Shelmire; Jason (Elisa) Nean; Samantha (Mark) Welsh; his special grandchildren: Ashley, Christian, Garnett, Merritt, Kirby, Shawn, Gavin, Ryan, Paulie, Eva-Jean, Bella, Nate, and Tyler. In addition to his parents and step-mother, Jim was predeceased by his daughter Lonnie. Abiding with his wishes, there will be no services.
