Grace M. Greene

Grace M. Greene, 88, of Sayre, Pa passed away on Sunday morning, December 2, 2018 at the Sayre Health Care Center. Grace was reunited with her husband Raymond who passed away on November 21, 2018. She was born on September 9, 1930 at the People's Hospital in Sayre, Pa a daughter of the late Ornal B. and Margaret (Simmons) Nichols. Grace was a graduate of Sayre High School class of 1948 and for many years she served as the office manager for Jim's Marine and Travel. Grace was devoted member of the Sayre Christian Church. She and Raymond enjoyed traveling to Myrtle Beach and wintering in Florida. They also treasured the friendships made over the years, enjoyed dancing, sight-seeing and participated in many bowling leagues. Grace is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Marc Ornal and Cathy Terpko of Delaware; a step son Raymond and his wife Sandy Greene of Dushore, Pa and their family; a brother Charles L. Nichols; several nephews also survive. Grace was predeceased by her husband Raymond Greene; a brother Bernard Nichols and Sister Arlene Nichols. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation on Wednesday, December 5th from 12 to 1 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. A funeral service and celebration of Grace's life will follow at 1 pm. Interment and prayers of committal will follow in the Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, Pa.
