Harold R. Warner

March 30, 1958 — January 28, 2024

Harold R. Warner, affectionately known as "Bop" by those closest to him, passed away peacefully at his home in Nichols, NY, on January 28, 2024. Born on March 30, 1958, in Binghamton, NY, Harold's journey through life was marked by a profound love for his family, a passion for the great outdoors, and a reputation as a skilled craftsman in his professional life.

Harold shared 45 wonderful years with his beloved wife, Linda Warner, whom he married on October 28, 1978, after having attended Binghamton Central High School together. Their enduring partnership was blessed with three children: Paul Warner, Andrew (Jessica) Warner, and Melissa (Josh) Dunk. Harold's joy multiplied with the arrival of his grandchildren, Michael (Aubrey), Angelina, Drew, Justin, Margaret "Maggie," and Samuel, and was further enriched by his great-grandchildren, Elijah and Riley. His sister Joan Warner, along with Linda's extended family, Randy (Jeanne) Patinka, David Patinka, and Jeffery (Barb) Patinka, also survive him, as do several nieces, nephews, and cousins, among them a special nephew, Frank Faciszewski.

Professionally, Harold was a highly regarded Body Shop Collision and Repairman, recognized for his expertise and attention to detail. His career spanned many years, with time spent at Scovell Auto and Royal Ford in Owego. Harold's hands were rarely still, as he was always involved in a project or lending his talents to others in need.

An avid outdoorsman, Harold relished his time hunting and fishing, particularly in the Adirondacks. His annual trips to Bear Camp with friends were eagerly anticipated events, as were his quiet afternoons spent trout fishing at Alexander Pond or casting a line into the Delaware River. These moments in nature were not simply pastimes; they were an extension of Harold's adventurous spirit and love of life.

Harold's character was a tapestry woven of love, adventure, and practical knowledge. Those who knew him were touched by his warmth and inspired by his zest for life. In the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson, "Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail." Harold indeed left a trail, marked by memories, wisdom, and the love he shared with everyone fortunate enough to cross his path.

As we bid farewell to Harold, we celebrate a life lived to the fullest, with every moment seized and every relationship treasured. His legacy is one of kindness, adventure, and an unwavering commitment to his loved ones. Harold's story does not end here; it continues in the hearts of those he leaves behind, and in the beauty of the natural world he so dearly loved.
