Harry "Bear" V. Harvey Iii

Our hearts still ache in sadness, and secret tears still flow, what it meant to lose you, no one will ever know…..Harry V. "Bear" Harvey, III, 41 of Stateline Road, Nichols passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2011. Bear was born on February 24, 1969 in Johnson City, NY a son of Joyce Haus and the late Harry V. Harvey, II. He was a graduate of Tioga Central High School and received his Diesel Mechanics Certificate from BOCES. Bear enjoyed spending time as a gunsmith and was owner of Harry's Hilltop Gun Shop. He treasured the time being surrounded by Mother Natures greatest gifts, whether it was hunting, fishing, riding horses or being on the farm. Bear is survived by his wife Linda Spencer Harvey; daughter Rebecca Goodwin; his mother Joyce Harvey and Don Merrill; sisters Holly (Greg Pollock) Harvey; Charade (Joseph) Kittle; Lisa Harvey; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends also survive. Bear was predeceased by his father Harry V. Harvey II on November 29, 2001; his maternal grandparents M. Marie and Jacques Babcock; paternal grandparents Harry Harvey and Doris Short. A time of remembering the special gift Bear was to all of us will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at 4 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. A period of visitation and time of sharing memories will be held on Tuesday from 2 pm until the time of the service at 4pm.
