Helen M. Platt

A mother holds her children's hands for a little while and their hearts forever….Our loving mom, grandmother and great grandmother Helen May Platt, 91, of Athens, Pa passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2015 following a brief period of declining health. Helen was born on June 18, 1924, in Burlington, PA a daughter of the late Jay and Ellen (Floyd) Harris. For many years, Helen worked at Endicott Johnson, Robin Tech and HADCO all located in Owego. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, gardening, reading and tending to her flowers. She will be greatly missed by her family. Helen is survived by her children: Carolyn and John Pitcher of Texas; Raymond and Karen Brown of Auburn, NY; and Sharon Brown of Athens, Pa; eight grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Helen was predeceased by her husbands: Lawrence Brown and Clifford Platt; her siblings: Lester (Barbara) Harris; Dorothy (Roy) Hulbert; and Harold Harris. Abiding with her wishes, there will be no services. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in the Evergreen Cemetery, Owego.
