Iantha G. Jones

Surrounded by her family and those that meant the world to her, Iantha G. Jones, 92, of LeRaysville, Pa went home to be with her Lord on Friday, April 21, 2017. Iantha was born on January 18, 1925 in Neath, Pa a daughter of Lloyd and Anna (Anderson) Jones. She was a graduate of the LeRaysville High School Class of 1942 and continued her studies at the Elmira Business Institute. Iantha was employed at S. M. Flickinger Store as a bookkeeper and retired from Montrose Hospital where she served as an administrative assistant for thirty-nine years. She was a member of the Dille United Church of Christ and for 18 years served as their financial secretary; and a member of BPW (Business and Professional Woman's Club) in Montrose. Iantha enjoyed traveling with her sister and remembered fondly their trip to Alaska; she treasured the many happy memories with her nieces, nephews and their families. She devoted many hours to quilting with the Ugly Quilters and help handcraft over 1000 quilts. Iantha will be greatly missed by her sister Patricia Burlington of Warren Center; a brother Iver Jones of Norfolk, Va; nieces and nephews: Tom and Rosie Burlington of LeRaysville; Bonnie and Jerry Abell of Warren Center; Jane Jones of Norfolk, Va; great nieces and nephews: Todd and Misty Abell; Khristina and Micah Russell all of Warren Center; Tom and Lisa Jones of Virginia Beach, VA; Ben and Sarah Reynolds of Virginia Beach; great great nieces and nephews: Isabella, Josiah, Adelaide, Lillian, Natalie, Marah and Raven. Iantha was welcomed into heaven by her parents; brother-in-law: Kenneth Burlington; sisters-in-law: Doris Warner Jones and Marie Jones; and a nephew Dennis Jones. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service and a celebration of a life well lived for Iantha on Sunday, May 7th at 3 pm at the Dille Parish United Church of Christ, LeRaysville, Pa, followed by refreshments at the Parish House. A private family interment was held in the Bradford County Memorial Park.
