James "Jim" F. Olmstead, Jr.

James “Jim” F. Olmstead Jr., of Warren Center passed away peacefully at home on January 6, 2026, at the age of 68 years old. Born on December 24, 1957, to the late James (Pete) and Geroldine Olmstead.

Survived by his loving wife of 45 years Linda, son James W. Olmstead and wife Megan of Warren Center, PA. Granddaughter Allison Olmstead of Endicott, NY whom he adored. Sisters, Tessie (Brian) Henley of Waverly NY, Clista Mochrie of Horseheads, NY, and Karen Garrity of Lockwood, NY. Brothers-in-laws Ronald (Penny) Baldwin of Warren Center, PA and Burt (Betsy) Baldwin of Little Meadows, PA. His best friends Tim and Jeff Vandervort and Curt Chaffee. Along with several nieces and nephews.

Jim worked at IBM Endicott for 18 years as a Maintenance Technician followed by The Night Shift for 25 years working as a Small Engines Mechanic before retiring in 2021. Upon retirement, Jim spent every day in his own workshop working on fixing things and enjoying life. He loved being home, working on math puzzles, and listening to classic rock.

A period of visitation and time of sharing memories will be held on Sunday, Jan11th from 1 to 3 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols.
