James Robert Bartlow

James Robert Bartlow, 55, died unexpectedly at home in Ellijay, Georgia on July 29, 2008. Jim was born on May 27, 1953 in Elmira, NY the son of Charlotte "Anne" (Watkins) and the late Donald E. Bartlow, Sr. He was a graduate of Athens High School. Jim will be remembered for his love of music and playing with the Chris Douglas Band, the Mississippi Line Band and the Blue Smoke Band as lead guitar and singer. In addition to his mother Charlotte "Anne" Bartlow of Athens, Pa; he is survived by his daughter and son-in-law: Tammy and Nathan Wilsford of Indianapolis, Ind., his brother and sister-in-law: Donald Jr. "Sonny" and Ann Bartlow of Athens; Daniel Bartlow of Syracuse, NY; sisters and brother-in-law: Rebecca and William Taylor of Athens, Pa; Vicki Newman of Johnson City, NY; several nieces, nephews; his ex-wife Lois; two step sons John Irvin and JD and his wife Dana Irvin; five step grandchildren. Jim was predeceased by his father Donald Bartlow Sr. on October 14, 1999; his brother David Bartlow on March 13, 2003.
