Jean Kay Shepps

Jean K. (Bonney) Shepps, 71, of Sayre, passed away on Tuesday morning, September 10, 2013 at her home in the presence of her daughters and husband. Jean was born on August 20, 1942 in Sayre, Pa a daughter of loving parents, the late Leo G. and Ruth (Merritt) Bonney. She was a graduate of Sayre High School class of 1960. On November 4, 1960 she married Robert L. Shepps and celebrated 50 years of marriage in 2010. Jean worked at Ingersoll Rand in Athens; Snyder elementary school for BLAST Unit 17. The remaining year she was a housewife who enjoyed raising her two daughters and playing with her two grandchildren. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her friends. Jean is survived by her husband nearly 53 years, Robert L. Shepps; her daughters Deborah and Glen Campbell of Rochester, NY; Lisa and Rodney Valad of Mechanicsville, VA; two grandchildren: Jarod and Emily Edwards; a brother Leo (Marjorie) Bonney; sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Jean (Joe) Gabrielli and brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Lloyd (Janet) Shepps; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Jean was predeceased by her parents and a son-in-law Wallace Edwards. Abiding with her wishes there will be no memorial services, cremation and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
