When someone you love becomes a memory....the memory becomes a treasure. Jean M. Tiffany, 79, of Litchfield, Pa passed away on Friday, July 4, 2014 following a period of declining health. Jean was born on April 27, 1935 in Greenfield Township, Lackawanna County, Pa a daughter of the late Raymond J. and Florence (Bell) McCann. She attended school in Greenfield and was a graduate of Newark Valley High School Class of 1953. Following graduation she attended the Robert Packer School for Nursing and graduated in 1956. On April 26, 1957 she married Frederick L. Tiffany and together they raised five sons. Jean was a registered nurse for over 30 years at Robert Packer Hospital and Tioga General Hospital. She was a member of the Litchfield United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. In addition, she was also a member of the Tioga Point DAR; PA Farm Bureau; Bradford-Sullivan Farm Bureau Women's Committee, and the Woman's Committee of PA State Farm Bureau. She enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Jean will be greatly missed by her husband of 57 years, Frederick L. Tiffany; her sons: Walter (Quintin) Tiffany of Muskegon, MI; Scott (Tammie) Tiffany of Litchfield, Pa; Russell (Christina) Tiffany of Lowman, NY; Thomas (Traci) Tiffany of Wintersville, OH; Daniel (Jane Streeter) Tiffany of Litchfield, Pa; her brother Wallace McCann of Wayne Co., PA; sister Christina (Ron) O'Falt of New Mexico; her special grandchildren: Elizabeth Tiffany, Douglas (Linzie) Tiffany; Andrew (Megan) Tiffany; Frederick (Katie) Tiffany; Alexander (Kate) Tiffany; Brittany Tiffany; Zachary Tiffany; Nicholas (Cassie) May; Tyler Walker; Melissa Baity; and Ashley Tiffany; four great grandsons; several nieces, nephews, a cousin John (Anita) Niles of Hungryhorse, Montana; a sister-in-law and Brother-in-law: Jane (Charles) Fessler Covington, Pa. She was predeceased by a cousin Carl Niles. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation and time of sharing memories on Monday, July 7th from 2-4 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. A funeral service and celebration of her life will follow at 4pm with her pastor, Rev. Jon Austin, of the Litchfield United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be held on Tuesday morning in the Bumpville-South Litchfield Cemetery.
