Our hearts still ache in sadness and secret tears still flow, what it meant to lose you, no one will ever know….Our hearts were broken on Sunday, March 11, 2012 with the sudden passing of Jeff Lee French, 51, of Battle Creek Rd., Rome. Jeff was born on June 28, 1960 in Sayre, PA a son of Norman L. and Victoria (Deretz) French. He was a graduate of Northeast Bradford Class of 1979 and a self-taught accomplished chef. Jeff enjoyed woodworking with his Dad, spending time in the garden and making maple syrup. Always willing to help others in need, his big heart and caring ways for others especially his parents will be greatly missed. In addition to his parents, Norm and Vicki French, Jeff is survived by his brother and sister-in-law: Norman L. Jr. and Polly French of Athens; sisters Joanne Allis of Ulster and Vicky Wagner of Athens; several aunts, uncles, his nieces and nephews: April, Norman, Amy, Cassie, Scott, Jennifer, Cody and will be missed by numerous great nieces and nephews too. Jeff was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Earnest and Agnes Deretz and paternal grandparents Miles and Mildred French. A period of visitation and time of sharing memories with the family will be held on Wednesday, March 14th from 4 to 6pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols.
