Jeffrey William Brown

Jeffrey William Brown, 44, of Tioga Center, NY passed away with his loving family at his side on Sunday evening, March 8, 2009 following an extended illness. Jeff was born on June 29, 1964 in Johnson City, NY a son of the late Alice Estelle (Hudson) and Roger William Brown. He was a graduate of Tioga Central High School Class of 1981 and also graduated from Broome Community College. Jeff was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved to spend time outdoors whether it was skiing, hunting, fishing, riding his snowmobile, 4-Wheeler or taking a ride on his jet ski. He also enjoyed watching football and especially loved the NY Giants. Jeff resided in Athens, with his sister and brother-in-law Judy and Bob Frederick; he is also survived by his brothers and sister-in-law David and Bonnie Kimber of Lockwood; Lou and Barb Martin of Rome, Pa; sisters and brother-in-law, Diane Gray of Waverly, NY; Nancy Brown of Owego, NY; Tammy and Joe Grant of Tioga Center, NY his sister-in-law Sally Brown of New Mexico; brother-in-law: Clair Gray of New Mexico; several special nieces, nephews, cousins, friends among them his lifetime friend Leanne Cardone. In addition to his parents Alice and Roger Brown, Jeff was predeceased by a brother Gary Lee Brown, niece Patricia Lynn Bishop Edwards. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service and celebration of Jeff's life on Saturday, March 14, 2009 at 4 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. A period of visitation and time for sharing memories will be held on Saturday from 3 pm until the time of service at 4 pm.
