Jennie R. Okrasinski

Jennie R. Okrasinski, 93, of Owego and formerly of Scranton and Gouldsboro, PA passed away on July 13, 2018 after residing 3 years at the Riverview Manor Nursing Home, Owego, NY. She rejoined her beloved husband Francis "Frank" of 61 years who predeceased her on April 22, 2007. Jennie was born on October 21, 1924, in Jessup, Pa a daughter of the late Louis and Mary (Emiliani) Baldoini. She had worked alongside her husband at Okee's Diner in Scranton and Okee's Clifton Inn in Gouldsboro, Pa for many years. Jennie will be greatly missed by her sons: Frank R. Jr (Virginia) Okrasinski; Gregory (Dawn) Okrasinski; a daughter Jean Ann Mitsakos; five grandchildren: Richard (Jennifer), Karen (David Rathke); Leigh Ann (Kevin Fox), Sarah (Shawn Ray) and Daniel (Bridget) Mitsakos; ten great grandchildren: Evan, Caleb, Matthew, Brynn, Kayla, Grace, Katie, Cooper, Marshall and Tessa. Also surviving is her sister-in-law: Helen Shipton of Clarks Summit, Pa. Family and friends are invited to attend Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Wednesday, July 25th at 10 am at Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary Church, 1217 Prospect Avenue, South Scranton, Pa by the Rev. Scott P. Sterowski, Pastor of St. Paul of the Cross Parish. Friends may call Wednesday morning at the church from 9:30 am until the time of the mass. Interment and prayers of committal will follow in the Sacred Heart of Jesus & Mary Cemetery, Davis St., Scranton, Pa.
