Jennifer "Jenny" VanScoy, passed away on December 7, 2025, surrounded by the loving care of her caregivers at Coventry.

Jenny, was a very special person her world was illuminated by the enduring love and care of Laurie and Art Jorgensen and their family, who became her steadfast guardians for 20 years. She found siblings in Laurie and Art's children, Derrek and Erin Jorgensen, Gina Jorgensen and Skyler Jorgensen, all of whom shared with Jenny the bond of family. Bill and Trudy Krapf held a special place in her heart as her adopted grandparents, and her adopted Aunt and Uncle Paula and Jamie Hagerich, along with their children Justina and Taya, also cherished her as part of their lives. Jenny's absence will be deeply felt by her wonderful caregivers at Coventry and the many friends she made at Achieve in Owego. She was predeceased by her father, Ronald, and two brothers, who she now joins in peace.

Those who knew Jenny will remember her as a free-spirited individual with a "my way or the highway" attitude. She had a special way of ensuring everything around her was just so, often rearranging her environment to suit her precise preferences. Her days were filled with the comfort of her favorite toys, from finger puppets and fidget spinners to stuffed animals, with her strawberry pillow holding a place of honor. Her love for dancing was infectious, and she could often be found joyously moving to her favorite tunes. Jenny's love for the animated characters of Shrek and Scooby-Doo was unmatched, and she found great delight in watching their adventures on screen.

Jenny will be laid to rest when the flowers bloom and the sun shines in the Nichols Cemetery. Memories and condolences may be shared at www.sutfinfuneralchapel.com
