Joan Ann Keifer

Joan A. Kiefer, 75, of Windham Twp., passed away Wednesday morning, August 22, 2012 following a period of declining health at the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre. Joan was born on November 13, 1936 in Elizabeth, New Jersey a daughter of the late Charles and Theresa Mackiewicz of Liberty, Pa. She is survived by her son, Steven Kiefer of Williamsport, Pa; daughter Janet Kiefer of Crescent City, CA; brother and sister-in-law: Raymond and Carol Mackiewicz of Millerton Pa; grandson Michael Kiefer, granddaughters: Shannon Richer and Samantha Kiefer, three great grandsons all of Syracuse, NY; niece Theresa (Curt) Dunlap of Roaring Branch, Pa; nephews William Frey of Liberty, PA; Charles Frey of Mansfield, Pa; Scott (Cynthia) Blanchard, Kent Blanchard; special friends and neighbors Bill and Dorette Burnham of Windham. Joan was predeceased by her husband Reese Kiefer, son Michael Kiefer and sister Eleanor Frey. Abiding with her wishes, there will be no services. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in the Valley Home Cemetery, Windham.
