Joan M. Mosher

Joan M. Mosher, 79, of Church St., Barton, NY went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 following a period of declining health. Joan was born on September 4, 1935 in Warren Township, Pa a daughter of the late Clifford and Eva (Doane) Horton. Joan was a member of the Nichols Senior Citizens. She enjoyed handcrafting canvas crafts, reading, listening to country gospel music, attending Chinese auctions and playing BINGO. Although her greatest enjoyment was being surrounded by her family. Joan is survived by her husband of 62 years, Frank Mosher; her children: Donna and her husband Robert Beppler of Endicott; Randy and his wife Cheryl Mosher of Horseheads, NY; Dirk and his wife Lisa Mosher of Nichols; her brother Richard Horton of Owego; her sisters-in-law: Vivian Horton of Nichols; Irene Horton of Zephryhills, Florida; her grandchildren: Travys Welfel, Traci Rypkema, Marc Beppler, Christopher and Melanie Mosher; Stephanie and Peter Denning; Jeremy and Anya Mosher; Merrick Mosher, Rowan Mosher and Aran, Mosher. Her great grandchildren: Carma, Collin, Damon, Zander, William, Edyne, Madyson, Lucille and Charleigh. Several nieces, nephews among them Sharon Ulrich, Clifford Mosher and Ruth Cornish also survive. Joan was predeceased by her parents, her brother Gordon, Norman and Doug. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation on Friday, September 12 from 11 - 1 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. Funeral services and a celebration of her life will follow at 1 pm with Pastor Charles Wasielewski, Sr., and Pastor Frank Wasielewski, Jr. officiating. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in the Nichols Cemetery.
