John G. Patak

"The heavens are now Rockin' and Rollin' with John on the drums" John G. Patak, 67, of Vestal passed away at his home on Monday, June 14, 2021 and is now playing his drums eternally. John was born on March 13, 1954 in Johnson City, NY. He was a graduate of Chenango Forks High School class of 1972. A talented and Master Jeweler, John owned Vestal Gold Design, his keepsakes are ones many will treasure. Music was truly one of John's passions, he was a talented and well known professional drummer. He later on in life taught himself to play the guitar. Although his greatest pleasure was being surrounded by his family. John was predeceased by his son Christopher L. Patak and his loving little dog Maggie Mae. Those left to cherish John's memory are his soulmate, best friend and love of his life of 46 years, Valerie (Cass) Patak; daughter Jonna Patak (Eric); his son Jeffrey Patak. His pride and joy, his granddaughter Gia Rose. His mother Yvonne (Dunnier) Patak - Hoover, his father John Patak; his siblings: Paul (Shelly) Patak, Kevin Patak, Michael (Shannon) Patak, Cathy Patak and Mark Patak. Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive. A special canine friend Baxter. Abiding with John's wishes there will be no services at this time.
