For more than three decades, John's professional life was deeply rooted in the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDot), where he supervised road construction and plowing. John was a proud member of VFW Post #6824 where he was a lifetime member of the Auxiliary, and the Roman-LeRay-Franklin Masonic Lodge #418.

Beyond his professional endeavors, John was an avid hunter who cherished the opportunity to share his passion with his children. He would eagerly wait for deer season each year; not only for the thrill of the hunt, but the opportunity to spend time with Terri and Kevin. John's love for the outdoors extended to his home, where he took great pride in maintaining his yard, working countless hours a week ensuring things were just perfect.

He always looked forward to his Monday trips to the sale barn with his good friend John Wright, it was there that he would keep up to date on all the local gossip and happenings.

John's dexterity and creativity were evident in everything he touched. A true jack of all trades, he could build anything he set his mind to. His retirement project, affectionately known as "The Barn," was a labor of love. What once stood as a simple barn was transformed by John's vision and craftsmanship into a remodeled masterpiece that stood as a symbol of his lifetime of skills and the joy he found in creation.
