Joseph A. Santos

Joseph A. Santos, 79, of Rome, Pa, went to his eternal home on March 10, 2016, where he would once again be joined with his best friend, "Bo-Jack" and his Mom and Dad...and God himself. Joe was born on December 8, 1936 in Barnsville, Pa a son of the late Albino Santos and Alwyn Santos Miller. A dedicated and hardworking man, he worked many hard hours in the construction industry with the Lancaster Construction Company. Joe enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether it was hunting, fishing, or just reflecting life with still photos. Carrying a happy tune throughout life, Joe enjoyed singing and his sense of humor carried him till the end of his journey here with us. He leaves behind his daughter (his sweetheart as he called her) Jackie Newton and her husband Ernie Newton; daughter Janice Engelbert and her husband Mort Engelbert, daughter Yvonne Santos, sons: Joe Santos, Tony Santos, Wayne Santos, Ash Steele and fianc Pam Shapely; three grandsons: Shawn Santos, Dylan Jones, Logan Roberts. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service and celebration of Joe's life on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at 6 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols, with Pastor George Bodine, of the Nichols Presbyterian Church, officiating.
