Josephine R. Price

When tomorrow starts without me, try to understand, an angel came and called my name, then took me by the hand….Our loving mom and grandmother Josephine R. Price, 86, of Wyaulsing, Pa was called to her heavenly home, Sunday morning, January 25, 2009 following a period of declining health. Jo was born on December 15, 1922 in Modesto, California a daughter of Willis Samuel and Charlotte (Kee) Cornwell. For many years, Jo was employed as a secretary having worked with the US Navy, the Emmanuel Medical Hospital in California, and the Welfare Department in Modesto and served as a church secretary in Oregon. Jo was a member of the Wyalusing First Presbyterian Church, enjoyed volunteering at the Wyalusing Public Library, sewing and reading although her greatest pleasure was being a mom and a grandmother. She always treasured the time spent with her family. Jo is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Rev. Karen and Rev. Barry Ballard; her grandchildren: Kirstyn and Wesley Ballard all of Wyalusing, Pa. Her nephews: Robert, Thomas, Richard, James Fisher and their families. She was predeceased by her parents and a sister Charlotte Fisher. Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services and celebration of Jo's life on Tuesday, January 27th at 11 is the Wyalusing First Presbyterian Church with Pastor Helen Learn, officiating. A period of visitation and sharing memories will be held on Tuesday from 9 am until the time of the service at the church.
