Joyce F. Ast

Joyce F. Ast, 82, formerly of Sun City Center, FL where she had lived for the past 30 years and Binghamton, NY died Friday, July 31, 2009 at Stein Hospice, in Sandusky, Ohio. Joyce was born on July 2, 1927 in Endicott, NY to Fred & Ruth J. (Foster) Campbell Sr. She graduated from North Senior High School in Binghamton, NY in 1945 and later married John E. Ast and he preceded her in death on May 4, 2007. Joyce retired from IBM in Endicott, NY. She is survived by two step-sons; John R. (Virginia) Ast of Quray, CO and Ken E. (Ivy) Ast of Carey, NC, three step-grandchildren, her sister; Gladys Shilling of Fremont and 3 nephews; Charles (Beth) Shilling of Fremont, Bruce (Anne) Campbell of Worthington, OH and Douglas (Nelda) Campbell of Houston, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother; Fred Campbell. Family and friends are invited to attend graveside services on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 11 am at the Valley Home Cemetery, Windham Center, NY.
