No farewell words were spoken, no time to say goodbye, you were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why….Julie M. (DeVita) Thomas, 53, of Lodar Ave, passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre. Julie is survived by her husband Vincent Thomas; her parents Marilyn (Hoag) and Ronald DeVita, Sr., of Endwell; her sons: Jason Ross of Peckway, Pa; Eric Hayes of Beaufort, South Carolina; brother and sister-in-law: Ronald Jr. and Shelly DeVita of Endicott; sister and brother-in-law: Teresa and Eric Williams of Endwell; step daughters: Tiffany (Adam) Mishoe of Wilmington, NC; Vinay (Patrick) Pridgen of St. Louis, MO; grandchildren: Moracey and Hayden; several aunts, uncles, her nieces and nephews: Helen, Jonathan, Emma, Tabatha, Cameron and many cousins also survive. Julie was born on November 18, 1960 in Niagara Falls, NY a daughter of Marilyn and Ronald DeVita, Sr. On August 3, 2001 she married Vincent Thomas. She enjoyed sewing, was a talented baker and treasured the time spent with her family. Until we meet again Julie, may you find comfort in the arms of the angels. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation on Friday, September 26th from 4-5 pm at the Barton United Methodist Church. A memorial service and celebration of her life will follow at 5 pm with Pastor Alan Bill, officiating.
