June Mary Rivers

If tears could build a stairway, and memories a lane, we'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again ~ Our hearts were broken on Saturday, February 29, 2020 with the sudden passing of our loving mother, sister, aunt and friend June Mary (Noe) Rivers, 52, of Owego. June passed away at home due to long health related issues and was welcomed into heaven by her parents. She was surrounded by pictures of her family and the country charm of her home. Born in Danbury, Connecticut on the warm summer day of June 17, 1968 she was blessed with the name of June Mary Noe. She was the loving daughter of Josephine Mary (Heisler) and John Joseph Noe, Sr. June loved her country charm decor and collecting knickknacks. She was always on the hunt for a bargain and was known by her family as being and extreme coupon-er. When not out looking for a bargain, June also loved to make handcrafted projects. June loved to be surrounded by her family ~ and had a special bond with her siblings. June is survived by her children: Danielle (Joseph) Berube; Jason Burek; and Heather Gabriel and her beloved grandson Joey; all of Connecticut; her five siblings: Sandra (Wilbur) Schofield of Connecticut, Judy Schofield of Owego, Debbie Noe of Tioga Center; Shelly (Ken) Forrest of Tioga Center; and John Noe, Jr. (Emily Moon) of South Carolina; and many, many nieces nephews, and cousins. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation on Wednesday, March 4th from 2 - 3 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 Main St., Nichols.
