Junia Oakley, 92, formerly of Carden Ave., Endicott, passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2014 at the Phelps Memorial Hospital in Sleepy Hollow, NY. Junia was predeceased by her husband Ronald L. Oakley; her sons Ronald and Gary Oakley; brother Bud Goodwin. She is survived by her daughter Rosalind Oakley of Peekskill, NY; sons Walter "Larry" and his wife Laura Oakley of Owego; Francis "Rex" and his wife Patty Oakley of Kernersville, NC; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive. Junia was born on January 28, 1922 in Nichols, NY a daughter of Walter Lee and Lena Pearl (Mills) Goodwin. On November 15, 1941 she married Ronald L. Oakley, together they celebrated 65 years of marriage until his passing on November 26, 2006. Junia enjoyed gardening, making crafts and having her doggies near her side. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service and celebration of Junia's life on Friday, October 31st at 1 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols with Pastor Donna Martin, officiating. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in the Nichols Cemetery.
