Karl J. Lason

Softly in the morning, you heard a gentle, you took the hand God offered you and quietly left us all…With his daughter by his side, Karl J. Lason, 62, of Waverly and formerly of Apalachin passed away on Monday morning, January 15, 2018. Karl was born on February 8, 1955 in Binghamton a son of the late Edward R. and Joyce (Johnson) Lason. He was a graduate of Owego Free Academy class of 1974 and later became a Certified Massage Therapist in New York and Pennsylvania. Karl was a long time and devoted member of the Apalachin Fire Department where he served as Lieutenant, Captain and later Chief. In addition he also participated with the Owego Community Chorus and treasured the many visits from his grandsons. Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter Krystal Lason and fianc Robert Kline of Waverly; his grandsons: Nathan and Elija; brother and sister-in-law: Mark and Sue Lason of Trumansburg; his Aunt and Uncle Lynette and John Barr of Florida; nieces and nephews: Mindy Lason of Rochester; Scott (Heather) Lason of Dinwiddie, VA and Christopher (Pam) Lason of Binghamton; and several cousins among them: Laurie Haskell of Vestal, Jesse Haskell and his wife Brenda Pinette of St. Marys Georgia and Rob and Rene
