Kenneth "Slim" M. Snyder

Kenneth Merle Snyder, 90, of Simpsonville, SC and formerly of Tioga Center, New York went home to be with his Lord and was reunited with his wife, Marie on Thursday, December 19, 2013. Affectionately known as "Slim" by his family and friends, was born on August 14, 1923 in Windham Center, Pa a son of the late Lewis and Emma (Brainard) Snyder. Ken was employee of the Tioga County Highway Department for many years. He attended the First Baptist Church of Simpsonville and was a member of the Tioga Center Baptist Church. Ken enjoyed taking walks, riding his bicycle and singing. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. Ken is survived by his children: Jeff and Terri Snyder of Simpsonville, SC; David and Judy Snyder of Wasilla, Alaska; Diane and Craig Brennan of Madison, AL; Anita and Jeffrey Siefert of Fayetteville, TN; Mary and Al Bert of Statesville, NC; Marlene and Gary Bonney of Perry, Florida; Tony and Olimpia Johnson of Venezuela; Mina and Lee Clarke of Kentucky; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive. Ken was predeceased by his wife Marie (Rossi) Snyder; his daughter Marjorie Brabrowski of Texas. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation on Friday, January 17, 2014 from 1 to 3 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. Funeral services and a celebration of Slim's life will follow at 3 pm with Pastor Russ Lockwood, officiating. Interment will be in the Nichols Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
