Kevin D. Hunsinger

When someone you love becomes a memory….the memory becomes a treasure ~ Our loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend Kevin D. Hunsinger, 58, of Nichols, passed away on April 23, 2015. Kevin was born on February 6, 1957 in Endicott, a son of Mary Faith (Cheevers) and the late Dean M. Hunsinger. Kevin was a graduate of Tioga Central High School class of 1975 and assisted his father in the operation of the family farm. In addition to his love of farming, Kevin also enjoyed spending time with his landscaping business and being surrounded by his family and friends. Kevin was also a long time employee of Paxar. On February 7, 1981, he married Karen A. Folk and together they made Cole Hill their home. Kevin will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 34 years, Karen; his son Korey, 24 years old; and his daughter Katie, 17 years; his mother Mary F. Hunsinger; his sisters and brother-in-law: Alice and Brett Rogers of Litchfield, Pa; Cheryl Hunsinger VanPatten of Whitney Point; a brother Ed Hunsinger of Endicott; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Janice (Folk) and Spencer Briggs of Nichols; Douglas and Lucille Folk of Windham; Stanley and Audrey Folk of Windham; Elmer and Mary Folk of Kentucky; his aunts and uncle: Cathy and Tom Ondrako of Saratoga Springs, NY; Diane Cheevers of Endicott; many nieces, nephews, cousins and their families also survive. Kevin was predeceased by his father Dean Merritt Hunsinger; his sister Margaret Mary "Peggy" Hunsinger; his uncle Jack Cheevers; his mother-in-law and father-in-law: Dorothea (French) and Kenneth Folk. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation and time of sharing memories on Tuesday, April 28th from 4 - 6 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. A memorial service and celebration of Kevin's life will follow at 6 pm with his friend Pastor John Vargason, officiating.
