Larry Paul Blair

December 8, 1953 — June 30, 2015

"When I find myself in times of trouble, Mother Mary comes to me. Speaking words of wisdom, Let it be." Larry Paul Blair of Nichols, NY spread his wings on June 30, 2015. Our awesome Husband, Father, Grandfather & Friend fought his last fight peacefully surrendering into the arms of our Lord. Larry is survived by his wife, Becky Blair. His parents George & Sheila Blair, children Lacy & Evan MacDonald, Sarah Blair & Brian Bryden, Emmy & Jordan Huffman. Grandchildren Natalie Blair, Aubrey, Chloe, & Lukas Nichols, Marley & Ottilie Bryden, & Merrick Huffman. His siblings: Linda (Donald) Rigabar, Julie Blair Hanlon, Jill (Mark) Fish, Steven (Lori) Blair,David (Barbara) Blair, Joseph (Mary) Blair, his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: David (Linda) Cole; Larry Cole; Jan (Randy) Murray; several aunts and uncles, many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents, his brother, Paul, his mother-in-law and father-in-law: Milton and Clara Cole; and a nephew, Caleb. Larry loved music, foreign cars, the outdoors, & above all his family. Although known to raise some hell in his younger days, he came to enjoy a quiet simple life. Larry was a lifetime Beatles fan and passed his love for their music to his daughters (Ringo- not so much). Larry loved his Yankee's baseball, and bled Syracuse orange & blue until Jim Boeheim screwed up! Known as a very straight forward man with a dry sense of humor, he wasn't afraid to give it to you straight every day of the week, and twice on Sunday. Larry's Grandchildren were a step above the rest in his eyes, his love for them drove his fight for several years. They will never forget running up to Papa's room for lollipops. Becky & the girls would love to see everyone for a memorial service on July 3rd at 2:00 pm at their home at 82 S. Main St. Nichols NY. A lantern lighting and release will be held at dark for anyone who wishes to join. Please dress in your best tie-dye & converse.
