Leland M. Hottenstein, 93, of Vestal, formerly of Nichols, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013. Lee was born in Cherry Mills, PA on July 16, 1920. A World War II Veteran, he served in the Army in Europe earning 5 campaign battle stars. He returned home to work at IBM for 43 years. Lee enjoyed traveling, fishing and nature. Lee lived to love and care for his family, friends and those in need. He was predeceased in death by a daughter, Elise Nellie and his two sisters. He is survived by his beloved wife of 71 years, Miriam, children: Ben, Erik, Omar and Beth Stockwell, brother: Chauncey Henry and 7 grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Thursday, Sept. 26th at 11:00 A.M. at the Nichols United Methodist Church. A Masonic service will follow at 11:45 with the Funeral at Noon.
