Leslie "Paula" Goble, 73, of Waverly, NY passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Monday, August 29, 2022. Paula was born on December 9, 1948 in Waverly, NY a daughter of the late Harold “Bus” and Joan (Bennett) Eiklor. She was a graduate of Tioga Central High School class of 1967.On November 17, 1973 she married Paul L. Goble and together they raised three amazing daughters. Paula had a keen interest in genealogy and loved being able to share her heritage with her family. She enjoyed traveling and exploring her Irish heritage. A true hockey enthusiast, Paula enjoyed watching teams from Elmira, Binghamton and New Jersey play. She had a soft side too, as she loved animals and had many over the years.
Paula will be greatly missed by her husband Paul L. Goble; her daughters and sons-in-law: Carrie and Ben Norton; Jennifer and Chris Jacobs; Kristen and Chris Brewster. Her grandchildren: Ada Sleutel, Bowie Sleutel and Kira Jacobs. Her brother and sister-in-law: Dan and Rose Eiklor; a sister Lois Gowan; aunt Janice Miller, aunt Ardith Bennett; several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. Paula was predeceased by her parents, her brother-in-law Jack Gowan, nephew Donald Gowan, and sister-in-law Elizabeth Carpenter.
Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 10 am at the Smithboro Cemetery.
