Our hearts were filled with grief at the passing of our loved one, a mother, a daughter, companion and friend, Leslie Sue (Sherwood) Davis, 52, of Nichols, NY, on December 27, 2021. Her life was too short for us but she is now joyfully reunited with her mother who just passed away this Thanksgiving. Leslie was born on March 18, 1969, in Endicott, NY, the daughter of Carl Sherwood and the late Diane (Felton) Sherwood. She graduated from Owego Free Academy in 1987. For many years Leslie worked in the field of banking and finance at M & T Bank in Owego, over the years, she cultivated many friendships with her coworkers and customers. Leslie loved her family and cherished the time she could spend with them. Leslie was a fan of the outdoors and especially loved hunting and had a keen eye when it came to target shooting. Leslie will be dearly missed by her partner Paul Petryszyn; her daughter Samantha Davis; father Carl Sherwood; sister Wendy Sherwood; Patrick Andreas who was like a brother to her; special friends: Pam & Cheryl Stewart, Dave & Chris Marcocci, Frank & Dodie Sherman, Gail & Ed Burrell, Joe & Colleen Sellars, Tanya Gregoire, Dave Jr & Logan Marcocci, Henry & Lorna Tiefenthaler, Julanne Moss, Kim & Mike Baldwin, Kent & Melanie Titus, Steve Tagleafaro, Ron Wilson and all of the hill people of Stanton Hill. Her Uncles and Aunts: Paul Sherwood, Allen (Betty) Sherwood, Roger (Mary) Felton, Jean Forbess, David Felton, Margaret Reeves, Shirley Smith, Louis Vermeulen. Her former husband Chuck Davis; numerous cousins also survive. Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Leslie's life on Sunday, February 6th from 1 to 5 pm at the Owego VFW.
