Linda J. Vanderpool

It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone, for part of us went with you the day God called you home......Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend Linda J. Vanderpool, 62, of Ulster, PA passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at the Sayre Health Care Facility. Linda was born on January 29, 1955 in Sayre, PA a daughter of Lawrence and Charlotte (Benjamin) Stack. A licensed nurse practitioner, Linda devoted her love, caring for others at the Elderwood Health Care Facility. She enjoyed playing BINGO, visiting Tioga Downs but her greatest pleasure in life being surrounded by her family and spending time with her grandchildren. Linda will be greatly missed by her husband of nearly 47 years, Glenn E. Vanderpool; her daughter and son-in-law: Michelle and Tracy Randall of Ulster, Pa; her son Glenn Vanderpool, Jr. and Jennifer Harris of Waverly, NY; her special grandchildren: Jarrett Randall, Tanner Randall; Zachary Vanderpool and Emmalynn Vanderpool; her sisters and brother-in-law: Sharon and Phillip Burgess of Litchfield; Emma Cron of Factoryville, Pa; brothers and sisters-in-law: Gerald and Julie Stack of Athens, Pa; Dale and Katherine Stack of Chemung, NY; George Stack; Glenn's siblings: Enos and Patricia Vanderpool, Rosemary and Richard Bartleson; Leona VanDuzer, Verna and Ralph Kinney; Ernest and Sharon Vanderpool; James Vanderpool and Bessie Porter; many nieces and nephews among them, Nancy Brown who was like a daughter to Linda. Linda was predeceased by her brother Steven Stack; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Benjamin Cron, William Vanderpool, Arba and Masu "Dotty" Vanderpool, Viola Vanderpool, Chester VanDuzer and Robert Porter. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation on Monday, April 10th from 11 to 1 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. A celebration of her life and time of remembering the special gift Linda was to all will follow at 1 pm with Pastor Tyson Wahl, of the Crossroads Family Ministries officiating. Interment will follow in the Orange Hill Cemetery. Following the interment there will be a luncheon and time of sharing at the Crossroads Family Ministries Church in Sayre, PA.
