Elizabeth K. "Liz" Whitmore, a loving mother, grandma, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully in Sayre, PA on October 24, 2023. Born on March 27, 1954, in Endicott, NY, Liz was known for her kind, friendly, and thoughtful nature that endeared her to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Liz was a proud graduate of Northeast Bradford High School, class of 1972. She was known in her community for her warm and friendly demeanor, having spent many years as a waitress at various establishments including Lounsberry Truckstop, Beeman’s, and Reese's Family Restaurant. Her kind and thoughtful nature made her a favorite among customers, many of whom would remember her bright smile and welcoming personality.

A fantastic cook, Liz enjoyed sharing her delicious meals with others, turning simple dinners into cherished memories. She was also a devoted San Francisco 49ers fan, finding joy in the camaraderie of game days. She found peace and relaxation near the ocean, often spending her free time watching the waves roll in. Her love for game shows was well known among her family and friends, as was her unwavering companionship with her beloved Dalmatian, Linus.

Liz is survived by her children, Daniel and Casey Williams; Nicole and Casey Crawford. Her cherished grandchildren, Hannah Williams, Hailey, and Noah Crawford also survive her. Liz was also the dear sister of Mark (Connie) Kuhlman, Dan Kuhlman, and Faith (Tom) Hundley. Several nieces, nephews, cousins, and John’s extended family also survive. Family was her greatest joy, and her love for them was evident in every facet of her life.

Liz was the beloved daughter of the late Ernest and Patricia (Best) Kuhlman; and was predeceased by her husband, John David Whitmore, who passed away on May 12, 2004.

Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation on Friday, October 27th from 4 – 6 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. A period of visitation will also be held on Saturday, October 28th from 10 – 11 am. A memorial service and celebration of Liz’s life will follow at 11 am at the funeral chapel.
