Leslie A. Adams-Swansbrough, Jr.
"LJ"
of Newark Valley, New York
Leslie A. Adams-Swansbrough, Jr., affectionately known as LJ, passed away on April 3, 2025. Born on July 14, 2023, in Johnson City, NY, LJ's vibrant spirit, his little grin and infectious laughter brought immense joy to his family and all who knew him during his brief but beautiful life.
LJ was the cherished son of Leslie Adams-Swansbrough, Sr., and Sharkika Williams. He shared an unbreakable bond with his siblings: his older sister Olivia, his twin Madison, and his brother Hunter. LJ's grandparents, Melissa and Dana “Papa” Swansbrough, Grandma Betty Mulno (Alan Schneider), and Grandpa Clifford Williams, all held a special place in their hearts for him; as did his aunts and uncles Miranda and Austin; Karissa, Isabella, Annabella, Lawrence “Mikey”, and Dana; Dillan and Deana, Travis and April, Trenton, Steven, and Quinton; Jamie, Amanda, and Brandy (Marchello). LJ was also blessed to have many great aunts and uncles, among them Steve and Aunt Wendy, and a host of playful cousins.
In his time with us, LJ was the embodiment of a joyful child whose laughter could light up the darkest room. An instigator of fun, he relished in teasing his siblings and cousins, bringing an energy to the family that will be profoundly missed. His love for playing with cars and trucks was evident in the hours he spent creating worlds of adventure, and his delight was unmistakable when he took rides with his Papa on the rollback. LJ's smile and little laugh were treasures that will be cherished in memory by all who loved him.
As we mourn the loss of LJ, we take comfort in knowing that he is now in the company of his great grandparents, Phyllis and Lawrence Adams, Eva and Raymond Swansbrough, Sr., and his cousin Dustin Adams-Swansbrough, along with other loved ones who have welcomed him into heaven.
We will gather on Wednesday, April 9th for a period of visitation from 10 – 11 am at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. A time of remembering the special gift LJ was to all of us will follow at 11 am. LJ will be laid to rest next to his great grandparents in the Tioga Cemetery. Memories, photos and condolences may be shared by visiting his guestbook at www.sutfinfuneralchapel.com
In remembering LJ's memory, let us all hold our loved ones a little closer and find joy in the laughter of children. LJ's memory will continue to shine in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.
