When I come to the end of the road and the sun has set for me, remember the love that we have shared, and that will comfort thee......Lois E. Twigg, 78, of W. River Rd., Nichols passed away on Tuesday evening, June 18, 2013 at the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, Pa. Lois was born on January 2, 1935 in Sayre, Pa a daughter of the late George and Beatrice (Manahan) Barrowcliff. She was a graduate of Sayre High School class of 1953. On July 25, 1954 she married Harvey R. Twigg and together they celebrated nearly 59 years of marriage. Lois was a member of the Nichols United Methodist Church where she actively participated with the United Methodist Women. She enjoyed tending to her garden, lovingly caring for her flowers and canning. Mom, If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever. Lois is survived by her husband of 59 years, Harvey L. Twigg, her children: Kenn and Barb Twigg of Litchfield; Richard and Beth Twigg of Navarre, Fla; Lisa and Paul Cruz of San Antonio, Texas; her special grandchildren: Shannon, Jason, Casey, Austin, Caleb, Courtney; great grandchildren: Jarrod and Kylea. She is also survived by her siblings: Joyce Stodart of Dallas, TX; Merton (Linda) Barrowcliff of Colorado Springs, CO; Nellie Ruth (Sam) Franklin of Locke, NY; Donald "Frank" (Pat) Barrowcliff of Ulster, Pa; sister-in-law: Norma Barrwcliff; several nieces, nephews and their families also survive. Lois was predeceased by her parents George and Beatrice Barrowcliff; her brothers George Barrowcliff, Harvey Barrowcliff and a sister Dixie Kepner. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation on Sunday, June 23, 2013 from 3-5 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. Funeral services and a celebration of Lois' life will be held on Monday, June 24th at 11 am at the Nichols United Methodist Church with her pastor Rev. Dan Martin, officiating. A period of visitation will also be held from 10 - 11 at the church on Monday.
