Lorena Mae French

Softly in the morning you heard a gentle call, you took the hand God offered you and quietly left us all…..Lorena Mae (Arnold) French, 89, of Hill Road, Athens, PA passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, February 3, 2017. She was born on December 23, 1927 in Litchfield, PA one of twelve children of Harry and Cora (Brenchley) Arnold. Lorena was a graduate of Athens High School class of 1944. Devoted to her family and her community, Lorena was a member of the Litchfield Township Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed completing puzzles and word searches. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her children: Joyce (Ron) Simons of Penn Yan, NY; Ron Reynolds (Evelyn Kramer) of Warren, PA; Claude Arnold (Carol French) of Ulster PA; Diana (Richard) Newman of Warren Center, PA; Kevin Reynolds of Ulster, PA; Pennie French of Litchfield, Pa; Walt (Jeannie) French of Litchfield, step son: Oscar French, Jr., of Ulster, PA; step son-in-law: Walt Casselbury. Her brothers and sisters-in-law: Hettie (Bud-Deceased) Rinker of Windham, PA Willis (Vivian) Arnold of Litchfield, Pa; Robert (Alfreda) Arnold of Windham, PA; sister-in-law: Ruthanne Brown; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and their families also survive. Lorena was welcomed into heaven by her husband Oscar French (2002), William Reynolds (1958); a grandson Randy Simons (1980); a daughter-in-law: Nina Reynolds; step daughter Patricia Casselbury; and siblings: Lloyd Arnold, Claude Arnold, Walt Arnold, Alice Bellis, Harry Arnold, Clyde Arnold, Doris Maslin and Wallace Arnold; Oscar Sr.'s siblings ~ Clarence French, Bernice Brown, Miles French, Jr., Dorothea "Dot" Folk, Lloyd "Zeke" French, Norman French, Mildred French Arnold Briggs ~ Until we meet again Mom, you will be forever in our hearts. Abiding with her wishes, services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in the Bumpville Cemetery.
