Loretta N. Sherwood

Loretta N. (Folk) Sherwood of Melbourne, Fl., and formerly of Endicott, NY, passed peacefully into eternal life at home in Melbourne. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul D. (Don) Sherwood; her parents Elmer C. and Carrie (Duncan) Folk, 6 brothers and 4 sisters; granddaughter Tina M. Lindsey, and son-in-law Richard F. Lindsey. Our hearts are broken, but we are grateful she was our Mother. She showed her family love, laughter and sacrifice and very often "words of wisdom", that left us with many memories. Loretta, "Nanny", is survived by daughter, Sandra Lindsey, of Melbourne, son, Charles Sherwood of Endicott, and daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Robert Sosenko of Cicero, NY. Grandchildren, Teresa and Jose Ortiz, and Rick Lindsey; 7 great granddaughter's, and 9 great-great grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews also survive. She was blessed with many friendships throughout her life, but the two most special were Marge McRae and her family. The enjoyment they shared for over 20 years "being first in line" at The State Fair, the music, the food and their "fair" friends, and their travels. Also her special friendship with Betty Hutcheson for over 50 years and the "gals from Winatic" luncheons. We would also like to thank those who helped Mom thru the past several months with love and kindness. Services will be announced at a later date.
