Lori Bostwick Patak

Our hearts still ache in sadness, and our tears still flow, what it meant to lose you, no one will ever know….Our loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend Lori Bostwick Patak, 37, of Pennsylvania Avenue, Sayre, Pa entered into her new life with our Lord and Savior on Thursday evening, May 8, 2008. Lori was born on August 19, 1970 in Sayre, Pa a daughter of Gene and Diane (Dillon) Bostwick. She was a graduate of Athens Area High School Class of 1988 and following graduation she continued her education at Mansfield University. Lori was a graduate of Mansfield where she received her Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy she was employed by many area hospitals and Doctors offices. Lori's faith in God and her passion to take care of anyone in need defined her and her purpose in this life. She taught us what love truly is, especially with her family. Lori's love extended from people to animals, particularly her dogs. Although she couldn't work due to her M.S., she started the valley chapter of the M.S. support group to fulfill her goal of positively touching and helping everyone she met. Her spirit is with us and we will deeply miss her until we see her again…We love you Lori~always and forever. Lori is survived by her husband Douglas Patak; her daughter Meghan Hurley; her parents Gene and Diane Bostwick; her stepchildren: Lyndsey, Jameson, Kaitlyn and Preston Patak; her brother and sister-in-law Scott and Kim Bostwick; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her five dogs also survive. Lori was predeceased by her brother Ryan Bostwick, grandparents Max and Marymargaret Dillon; Walter B. Bostwick and Janice M. Brown; her aunt Nancy Chico. A time of remembering the special gift Lori was to all of us will be held on Wednesday, May 14th at 4:30pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 South Main St., Nichols. A period of visitation and sharing memories will be held on Wednesday from 3 pm until the time of the service at 4:30.
