A mother holds her child's hand for a little while and their hearts forever…..Louisa M. "Peggy" Harrington, 88, of Battle Creek Rd., Ulster, Pa passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at the Robert Packer Hospital following a period of declining health. Peggy was born on January 17, 1925 in Windham Summit, Pa a daughter of the late John Wilson and Katherine (French) Brown. She was a graduate of the Rome High School. On June 25, 1942 she married Charles R. Harrington, together they shared 56 years of marriage until his passing on May 5, 1999. Peggy enjoyed reading, sewing, tending to her garden, crocheting and most of all loved to spend time with her family. She will be greatly missed by her children, C. Boyd and Cherie Harrington of Rome, Pa; Donna and Gary Ross of Crawford, Ga, Sheryl and Steve Hovan of Rome, Pa; Dale and Marcia Harrington of Warren Center, Pa; her grandchildren: Stephanie (Howard) Haviland, Teri (Donald) Riney, Michelle (Gary) Chappie, Chuck (Cheryl) Harrington, Trudy (Keoki) Smith, Sonya Smtih, Jeffrey (Deidra) Ross, Shelly (Michael) Midkiff, Brian (Desiree) Ross, Brenda (Darren) Embry, Tyler (Jennifer) Ross, Jason Ross, Chaplain Kevin (Heidi) Hovan, Karen (Michael) Jones, Scott Hovan, Mindy (Thomas) Milliron, Michael Harrington, Melanie (Chris) Crawn, LeAnn Harrington, Laurel Harrington; great grandchildren: Zack, Jordan, Alec, Preston, Cameron, Carter, Chaves, Keidis, Mustaine, Paisley, Paul, Nicholas, Robert, John, Catherine, Morgan, Mason, Tiffany, Nathaniel, Drake, Zachary, Logan, Abigail, Stanley, Kaylee, Shana, John, Brent, Natalie, Liberty, Mackenzie, Christian and Chloe. Several nieces, nephews and their families also survive. Peggy was predeceased by her parents, her husband Charles, and brother John Brown. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation and time of sharing memories on Saturday, March 2nd from 1-2 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. Funeral services and a celebration of Peggy's life will follow at 2 pm with Pastor Dale Anschuetz, of the Community Independent Bible Church, officiating. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family on Monday, March 4th in the Rome Cemetery.
