M. Winola Casselberry

A mother holds her children's hand for a little while and their hearts forever…..our loving mother M. Winola Casselberry, 89, of Gorham Rd., LeRaysville, Pa passed away Wednesday evening, July 17, 2013 at the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre following a brief period of declining health. Winola was born on May 4, 1924 on the family farm in LeRaysville, Pa a daughter of Fred and Grace (Morris) Hunt. She was a graduate of LeRaysville Pike High School class of 1942 and always looked forward to attending and visiting with her classmates at the school reunions. On January 5, 1946 she married Francis Ralph Casselberry and together they shared 63 years of marriage until his passing on May 4, 2009. Many will remember Winola as a caring and loving wife, mother and grandmother. For many years she worked at the Northeast Bradford High School Cafeteria. Winola was a devoted and long-time member of the Dille Parish United Church of Christ. She enjoyed crocheting, completing cross word puzzles, spending time in her garden, tending to her flowers and for many years served as a volunteer at the Parish House. Although, her greatest enjoyment was being surrounded by her family. Winola will be greatly missed by her children daughters and sons-in-law: Patricia and Ray Smith of Erin, NY; Joyce and Stephen Shafer of Meshoppen, Pa; Connie and Mitchell Dingus of New Concord, Ohio; Betty and William Veasey of Egg Harbor Township, NJ; Diane and Clifton Burlew of Lowman, NY; a son Kevin Casselberry of LeRaysville, PA; her sister and brother-in-law: Pearl and Ed Marshallof Rome, Pa; a sister-in-law and brother in law: Donna and Robert Moshier of Pine City, NY; nine grandchildren: Daryl Smith, Stephen and Eric Shafer, Michelle Sanders, Travis Dingus, Tracy McComis and Brian Hill; Joseph and Cassandra Veasey. Numerous great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Winola was predeceased by her parents Fred and Grace Hunt, her husband Francis Ralph Casselberry and a brother Clarence Morris Hunt. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service and celebration of Winola's life at the Parish House in LeRaysville, Pa on Saturday, July 20th at 1 pm. A gathering and time of sharing will follow the service. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in the Orwell Cemetery.
