Madalyn G. Robinson, 84, of Barton, NY passed away on Friday, March 29, 2013 after an extended illness. She was born on Nov. 1, 1928 to Leo and Christina Stanton Creighton. She worked at The Robert Packer School of Nursing and the Post Office, retiring as postmaster at Barton. Madalyn treasured her family and enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports and enjoyed to travel. She is survived by her children, John Robinson, Joseph (Debbie) Robinson all of Barton, James (Lori) Robinson of Snow Camp, NC and JoAnn Pipher of Fayetteville NC, 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, an uncle and several cousins. Also surviving, Francis Robinson, father of her children and her faithful canine companion, Butchie. She is predeceased by her parents and her granddaughter, Joelle. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation and time of sharing memories on Monday, April 1st, 2013 from 1 -2 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. Funeral and committal services will follow at 2 pm with Pastor Alan Bill, officiating.
