Mae E. Keeney

Softly in the morning, you heard a gentle call, you took the hand God offered you and quietly left us all….Mae E. Keeney, 65, of Athens, Pa passed away peacefully at the Vestal Park Nursing Center on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 following a brief period of declining health. Mae was born on June 18, 1950 in Waverly, NY a daughter of the late Lance O. and Helen M. (Richardson) Bogart. A loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Mae treasured the time spent with her family. She also enjoyed gardening, crocheting, knitting, dancing and visiting Casinos. She will be forever remembered and forever missed. Mae is survived by her children, her daughters and son-in-law: Candy and Michael Jump of Tioga Center; Jodi White and Richard Martin of Pa; a son and daughter-in-law: Danniel and Lindsay Bogart of Troy Pa; her special grandchildren: Ashley, Emmett, Tahira-Mae, Michael, Aaron, Bradley, Kaleb, Kaden; her great granddaughter Devon and a great grandson Peyton; her brothers and sisters-in-law: Lance Oscar (Deborah) Bogart, II of Tioga Center; George (Ginny) Bogart of PA; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews also survive. Mae was predeceased by her parents Lance O. and Helen Bogart; her companion Emmett Hayford; her sister Martha Bell (Bogart) Johnson. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation on Friday, February 5th from 10am to 11 am at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. A memorial service and celebration of her life will follow at 11 am with Pastor Joshua Payne, officiating.
