Margene M. Murphy

A mother holds her children's hands for a little while and their hearts forever….surrounded by her family and those who meant so much to here, Margene M. Murphy, 77, of Rome, Pa passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at the Athens Health and Rehabilitation Center, Athens, PA. Marge was born on September 13, 1937 in Rome, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late Leo and Myra (Westbrook) Fuller. On April 28, 1984 she married the love of her life Alfred Murphy and together they built a home on love and understanding. Marge was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who treasured the time spent with her family. Marge is survived by her children: Rhonda Ham of Rome, PA., Leeonda Thoman of Rome, Pa, Brenda Snyder of Rome, Pa, Gregory Barber of Binghamton, NY; Jason Barber of Elmira, NY; Jeff Barber of Elmira, NY and Matthew Ford of Towanda, PA. Sister: Mary Greeno and a brother, Norm Fuller. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends. She was predeceased by her parents Leo and Myra (Westbrook) Fuller, husband Alfred Murphy, daughter Julie Roy, son-in-law Nathan Snyder; Her siblings: Phyllis Evans, Berdena Locket, Arlene Jackson, Leo Fuller, Raymond Fuller and John Fuller. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation on Friday, June 26, 2015 from 11 am to 1 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. A memorial service and celebration of Marge's life will follow at 1 pm.
