Mary I. Prince

Mary I. Prince, 93, of Cadis, Pa was reunited with her husband Kenneth and daughters Mary Luanne and Esther on Wednesday morning, January 4, 2017. Mary was born on July 28, 1923 in Nichols a daughter of the late Lucie and Former Owego Police Chief Earl Sibley. She was a graduate of Owego Free Academy class of 1943. On March 16, 1946 in Owego she married Kenneth Prince together they celebrated sixty-two years of marriage until his passing in 2008. For many years, Mary assisted her husband in the operation of the family dairy farm in Cadis. She treasured the time spent traveling with her daughter Esther and enjoyed sewing and cooking. Mary was a member of the Warren Township Fire Vol. Dept. and the Nichols United Methodist Church. A gentle and kind woman, Mary shared many treasured stories and enjoyed the time spent with her neighbors and caregivers. Mary is survived by many friends, neighbors and her caregivers along with many nieces, nephews and their families. In addition to Ken and her daughters Mary and Esther, she was predeceased by her sister Ruth Stan. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation on Tuesday, January 10th from 10 to 11 am at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. A funeral service and celebration of Mary's life will follow at 11 am.
