Softly in the morning, you heard a gentle call, you took the hand God offered you and quietly left us all…..Our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother Mary (Kishbaugh) Cole, 91, of Glen Valley Rd., Athens, Pa passed away with her family at her side on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at the Elderwood Healthcare Facility in Waverly. Mary was born on September 20, 1923 in Waverly, a daughter of the late Arthur and Ethel (Hakes) Kishbaugh. On July 24, 1954, she married Ira E. Cole and together they celebrated 57 years of marriage until his passing on September 19, 2011. Mary was a long time member of the Waverly Christian Missionary Alliance Church. She enjoyed knitting and completing crossword puzzles, although her greatest treasure was spending time with her family ~ she always carried a smile to brighten their day. Mary will be greatly missed by her family, her children: David and Ruth Cole of Athens; James and Patti Cole of Sayre; Robert and Margaret Cole of Athens; Marilyn Mosher Williamson and Joe Williamson of Trout Run, Pa; Nancy and Ryan Miller of Tioga Center, NY; daughter-in-law: Carol Mitchell of Texas. A brother Robert Kishbaugh of Texas; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: John and Susan Cole, James and Lou Cole; Rosella Hess all of State College, Pa; Marie Kishbaugh of Florida; Fifteen Grandchildren, thirty-eight great grandchildren, eleven great great grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews and their families also survive. Mary was predeceased by her parents Arthur and Ethel Kishbaugh, her husband Ira; a son Gary Mitchell; brother Thalbert Kishbaugh; son-in-law: Tom Mosher; great granddaughter Rachel Mitchell; great great grandson Carter Lackey. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation on Saturday, November 29th from 12 to 2pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. Funeral services will follow at 2pm at the chapel.
