Softly in the morning, you heard a gentle call, you took the hand God offered you, and quietly left us all….Our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Mary Lou Dewing, 84, of Warren Center, Pa went home to her heavenly home on Friday, November 23, 2012. She was reunited with her husband Paul Dewing, son Gary Dewing grandsons Jason and Jordan Moore, great grandson, Mark McKernan, her sister Roena (Paul) Young, and her brothers Morgan Jones and Douglas (Doris) Jones; her brother-in-laws and sisters-in-law: Paul Darling, Betty and Norman Darling, Max Dewing and Robert Dewing. Mary is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Linda and Richard Depew of Harleysville, Pa; June and Jim Moore of Warren Center, Pa; daughter-in-law: Freddie Dewing of Monroeton, Pa; brother and sister-in-law: Howdy and Betty Jones. Sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Carol Darling, Russell and Ruth Dewing, Grace Dewing, Martha Dewing; Grandchildren: Jeff Depew, Jon (Miriam) Depew, Robin (David) Brown, Chris (Bridget) Depew, Jennifer Depew, Mindy (George) Emerick, Tyler Moore (and his fianc Stacey Schield), Pat (Susan) Persun, Debbie (Eddie) McKernan; great grandchildren: Micah and Elora Depew, Ethan, Benjamin, and Joshua Brown, Sienna Swanson, Sage Praweckyj, Gavin and Aidan Emerick, Connor Moore, Mia McKernan, Savannah Persun, Lucus Persun; several nieces, nephews and their families also survive. A life long resident of Warren Center, Mary was born on March 20, 1928 a daughter of the late Morgan and Helen (Brown) Jones. She was a graduate of the Warren Center High School and retired from IBM. Mary was a member of the Warren Center Methodist Church. Many will remember Mary for her caring ways, her gentle smile and her wave as she walked around the Warren Center community. Mom, until we meet again….may you find comfort in the arms of an angel. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation and time of sharing memories for Mary on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 from 10 am until 12 noon at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols Funeral services and a celebration of Mary's life will follow at noon at the funeral chapel with Pastor Brad Marple, officiating. Interment and prayers of committal will follow in the Colburn-Dewing Cemetery, Warren Center.
