Matthew Dale Bowen, 24 When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure. Matthew Dale Bowen, 24, of Laceyville, Pa passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Monday evening, August 13, 2007. He was born on December 15, 1982 in Sayre, Pa. Matthew attended school at Northeast Bradford High School and was employed at a stone quarry in Birchardville. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and always lived each day to the fullest. Matt is survived by his father Dale A. Bowen and fiance Melissa Schultz of Athens and daughters Megan and Ashley Schultz; mother and step father Dawn and George Bolles of Laceyville, Pa; his fiance Jenella Birdsall and her two children, whom Matthew held dear to his heart Noah Allen and Zachary Ryan all of Laceyville, Pa; his sister and brother-in-law Cheyenne and Michael Whalen of LeRaysville, Pa; his paternal grandparents Richard and Anna Bowen of Rome, Pa; maternal grandfather Bernard Edsell of LeRaysville, Pa; paternal aunts and uncles: Barry R. (Kathleen) Bowen of Rome, Pa; Gale A. (Tammy) Bowen of Rome, Pa; Ronald Cook of Florida, Rexford Cook of Florida; Rodney Cook of Litchfield, Pa; Lois (Terry) Gray of Rome, Pa; Joy (Mike) Drake of Litchfield, Pa; Terry Bowen of Towanda, Pa. Materal aunts and uncles: Carl and Mary Edsell of Stevensville, Pa; Virginia and Alden Brown of Lincoln Co., NC; Harriett Payton of Stevensville, Pa; Gene and Gloria Edsell of Stevensville, Pa; Oma and Edward Taylor of LeRaysville, Pa; Leo and Cheryl Edsell of Stevensville, Pa; Step-sisters and step-brother Tonya Elliott, Georgia Bolles, Robert Bolles; his special nieces and nephews Reganne, Devon, Tyler, Nathaniel, Nessa Jean, Eric Matthew Whalen; many great aunts, uncle, cousins and many friends who where life family to him. Matthew was predeceased by his maternal grandmother Harriett Alice Edsell in 2002, his paternal grandmother Lila Corbin Bowen; and his paternal uncle Robert W. Bowen. A time of remembering the special gift Matthew was to all of us will be held on Saturday, August 18th at 12 noon at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 South Main St., Nichols with Pastor Robert Martin, officiating. Interment will follow in the Stevens Cemetery. A period of visitation and sharing memories will be held on Saturday from 10 am until noon.
