Maureen J. Barrett

Softly in the morning you heard a gentle call, you took the hand God offered and quietly left us all…. Maureen J. Barrett, 82, of Windham, Pa passed away on Thursday morning, August 18, 2022 following a battle with Alzheimer’s. Maureen was born on November 30, 1939 in Kings County, Brooklyn, NY a daughter of the late Owen and Mary (McCarrol) McGowen. Maureen was a graduate of Font Bonne Hall Academy and received her degree in Criminal Justice from Staten Island College. For many years, she served as a Peace Office at the Department of Probation in Brooklyn. Maureen will be missed by her sons: James Barrett, Daniel (Trisha) Barrett, Robert Barrett; three grandchildren: Daniel, Grace and Nolan; her sister Agnes DeRosa; and the father of her children Robert M. Barrett. Abiding with her wishes, there will be no services.
